The Great Pumpkin Party - Halloween is here!

Yesterday we hosted a gathering that kicks off the countdown to Halloween with a movable feast, some friends and family, and a riot of funny faces.

For the pumpkin carving with kids, I covered two children’s tables with a Halloween spider disposable table cover, I keep sharp instruments safely organized in buckets and on trays on the table and I provide children with pumpkins (they took their jack-o'-lanterns home at the end of the party). Children were so happy that it didn’t matter as much if they made a mess in our living room with spilled pumpkin flesh and seeds!

Besides we created our own "Scary Halloween Photo Booth” for all my friends to take pictures of themselves in their Halloween costumes. Children had a lot of fun in the photo-booth session, this was hilarious and brilliant!

Places where time seems to slow down

Last weekend we visited the Salt Valley of Añana with some friends. In the oldest town in Alava, and in what were waters of a vast sea 200 million years ago, stands the Salt Valley of Añana. A magnificent outdoor cultural landscape (monument) formed over more than 5,000 eras.

Platforms on which the brine, saltwater, is poured to obtain salt through solar evaporation. A unique and extensive network of wooden channels distribute the water to the most remote corners of the Salt Valley.
