Blackberries & cheesecake & children!

Over the weekend, a friend of mine who had picked blackberries gave me a jar of her homemade jam. The jam looked delicious so I made a cheesecake recipe with some blackberry jam. I love baking with my children and this is a super-easy, and very quick one to do.

Kid-Friendly Recipe - Nashi Pie

While Little I. napped the other day, Little S. and me made a nashi pie. My grandparents gave us some nashies from the fruit trees they plant in their garden. Nashi is also known as the Chinese pear, skin feels slightly rough like a pear, rather than smooth like an apple. I love cooking with her.

She used a kid-friendly knive to cut nashi into tiny pieces, transferred pastry to pie plate, added filling and mascarpone cheese…she was so happy when she put the pie in the oven!

I think Little S. spent most of her time licking her fingers!
